"13 Going on 30" is officially 20.
Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer gathered over Zoom to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2004 romantic comedy in a video shared Tuesday on Instagram. During the chat, Ruffalo revealed he gets approached more often by fans of "13 Going on 30" than by fans of his work as the Hulk in the Marvel universe.
"There's two kinds of people in the world: there's Hulk people and there's '13 Going on 30' people," the Oscar-nominated actor said. "And I get equal amounts — way more '13 Going on 30.'"
Ruffalo also described recently meeting a woman who told him she does cosplay from the movie, while Garner met a baby who was named Jenna after her character in the movie.
Garner starred in the film as a 13-year-old girl who wakes up as an adult woman, while Ruffalo played her love interest and Greer played her friend Lucy. The movie, released on April 23, 2004, grossed nearly $100 million at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
Over Zoom, the cast got nostalgic discussing how everyone was still using flip-phones when the movie came out, and "everyone got their news from the same place." But Greer was surprised when it came up that "13 Going on 30" was one of Brie Larson's earliest roles. The future "Captain Marvel" star played a member of the "Six Chick" clique. "Wait, Brie Larson was in our movie?" Greer asked her co-stars.
Ruffalo thanked the "best fans of this movie that anyone could possibly have," and in the Instagram caption, Garner expressed gratitude toward "every person who has loved this movie along with us," adding, "Thank You. We see you, we appreciate you and we love you back." She also jokingly described herself and her co-stars as "three Boomers braving Zoom," as the video began with technical difficulties almost immediately.

In 2022, Ruffalo and Garner worked together again on the Netflix movie "The Adam Project," which Garner dubbed the "13 Going on 30 Reunion" on Instagram. In February, Garner also honored her former co-star when Ruffalo received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During her speech, she recalled that Ruffalo tried to quit the movie over a scene where he and her character dance to "Thriller."

"Mark went from kind of shocked that we actually had to do this to antsy to a deathly quiet to a 'Bro, this is not for me,'" she said.
Garner also declared that her movie "kicked off the Mark Ruffalo rom-com era" before praising the actor on a serious note, telling him that his "real success is in how thrilled and delighted your colleagues are to have the opportunity to life you up and celebrate you."
